These books could be the difference between a child who is hooked into reading and a child who goes through school never finding the book for them. Next year, my hope is to use these books for mini-lessons, first chapter Fridays, and book clubs to get students connected again to their reading. Instead of sitting through a lesson on a book published 30 years ago, I want to be able to read them a story they can feel. I hope that every student next year can find a book in the library that excites them.

About my class
