I would like to enhance learning in my classroom by including hands-on math manipulatives in my instruction. In the past, I have had students draw representations of math manipulatives and it is very time consuming. By using dry-erase materials and algebra tiles, students can quickly and easily represent math problems with physical models. Physical models such as algebra tiles help students visualize algebraic expressions more easily. These models are quickly rearranged to represent new problems and make connections between concepts. Students can use these materials to communicate their problem-solving approaches to one another.
