These materials will help my students during our guided reading time. I will teach them strategies to decode words, help with comprehension, and help them love to read. The stools will give my students flexible seating. I hope the books will help my students become intrigued with reading. The magnetic letters will be used during our word work portion of guided reading. We build a lot of new words and this will help them build the word, mix the letters and fix the letters. This technique helps the students retain new words. The whiteboards will be used during the new vocabulary. I will have students write the new word of the day. Then I will erase a letter on my board and have the students correct my spelling on their whiteboards. The I-Pad holder will be easy access for myself to monitor my other students and rotate their groups through my I-Pad. The iPad charging station will be accessible to my students. The charging area I have now is so clustered and my students get mixed up. My school does not have access to colored tiles and we use these for Math. My school is home to students who do not have much to learn with. These materials will hopefully have my students wanting to come to my teacher table for guided reading, and wanting to enjoy reading with me. Please help my students succeed.
