By donating to my project you will provide my students to the opportunity to read about diverse Indigenous people. Expanding my classroom library to include these titles gives my students the ability to choose books that interest them. Creating a culture of reading is what I want to instill in my students especially my struggling readers. Having a collection of books written by Native American authors will allow my students a new perspective on Native Americans people and their portrayal in books. One way to get students excited about reading is to have books that interest them. These books will encourage my students to read independently and be able to connect with print.
