Our students are entirely remote at the moment and do not have access to the school building. The purchase of these books and resources would benefit the students and be delivered to them at their homes. We have three co-teachers working together with approximately 45 students. Many of our students are such avid readers that we would wish to purchase the sequel "Class Act" to encourage more reading. We have had several students read this book independently and connect with the characters and see themselves through the multicultural lens the novel offers. These books will inspire student graphic novels about their own diverse experiences. We want all of our students to find a book they truly connect with. "New Kid" has the potential to be that book for many of our students!
