I would love to get books into my students' hands so they can read at home during this challenging time. Our school is open only to serve lunch so my hope with this project is that my students who are coming to get a free lunch will have the opportunity to choose a book to keep as their own at home. Many of my students who are at home trying to learn virtually do not have books of their own to read. My hope is that these students, who are at risk of falling behind, will be able to get 1 or 2 books to read and start their own library at home. My hope is to level the playing field and create life long readers who have access to books.
