The books that I have asked for, will allow my students to foster their love of learning. High interest graphic novels are a huge hit with my fifth graders. With new books, my students will be able to independently choose books for their level. The best way to increase a students reading skills are just by reading more often. When given high interest books which they can choose based on their interests, students are shown to read more often and grow in their reading skills. My students have a deep love for independent reading and this project will allow them to explore the world through new books.
