While my 8th graders are motivated and conscientious, they often don't have the tools they need to succeed. Even before the need to shelter in place, my students had difficulty accessing appropriate books. Now, learning needs to continue at home. While their parents might want to be helpful, they don't have books in their homes or the knowledge needed to recommend appropriate reading material. I've chosen graphic novels and interesting young adult materials that will make my students want to read at home. I've added a few hotspots to my list, because internet access is crucial.
