Teaching younger children comes with many challenges. One of the biggest challenges is that children come to kindergarten on many different levels. Some students have had no prior schooling, and others are reading. Having independent learning stations helps students work at their level on the skills that they need. Learning stations help reinforce the skills that have been taught in class lessons by giving children the independence to reinforce, practice, and master skills. Kindergarteners need to learn to follow directions, be independent learners, and be responsible for their materials. All those skills and many others are taught with independent learning stations.

About my class
