With your donations, this project will be able to come to life! Each 3rd and 4th grade student at my school will have the opportunity to have a hands-on experience with a large instrument that will further their understanding of our music and enhance the skills they have learned over the past years of music class! The ukulele is one of the easiest instruments to teach and to learn. We will practice accompanying ourselves to different folk songs and even pop songs we know. This learning unit will also focus on composing our own melodies and chord progressions which enhances the creative aspect of ukulele playing. I can't wait to see what will happen next!
