Reading is a skill, but also a passion. It's a necessity, but also a luxury. Reading includes pages in a book, but also places to explore. Students need a place to curate their own personal library that is just right for them. A place that allows them to learn at their level and at their pace. Students become life long readers through engaging lessons, interactive read alouds, and genuine connection. This genuine connection is developed through choice and fostered through ownership. These book bins seem like a simple organizational tool, but really they create a space that encourages the development of a life long skill.
