Currently, my classroom does not have a dry erase board but a chalkboard. When learning math skills I like to add as much fun, color, and visibility as possible. Scholars love to show off their math skills by demonstrating how to work problems on the board. The issue is they do not like chalk. It's dusty, not colorful or vibrant, or easy to see at the back of the room. A dry erase board would allow the scholars to work problems on the board, play math games sharpening their skills, cleanly erase & correct information, and easily see the math notes for the day. I also like to use different colors to demonstrate the steps to solve a problem, rather than just one color. This allows the scholar to understand how or where I came up with a number more easily.
