I am an itinerant vision teacher. I work with visually impaired students from age 3 to 22. Most of my students have other disabilities. They are on all different levels. An iPad would allow me to use some of the many wonderful apps available to children with disabilities. I have students on so many levels. The most challenging can be my students with traumatic brain injuries. I have found apps that have been successful in getting favorable responses. An iPad allows me to have a portable teaching tool with apps appropriate for each one of my student's individual needs.
