Many of the students I work with do not have the materials needed at home to continue learning. The materials I chose are specifically open ended and will continue to foster creativity and engagement at home. I'm encouraging students to expand their imagination and create with the art materials then write me a letter to tell me about the fun things they are creating at home! The materials selected can be reused to keep my students engaged all throughout the summer. This will be especially important as many of the spaces are closed and it's important that they have opportunities to be creative over the summer.
