These materials will help my students learn in a way that works for them. My students have intensive needs and need multiple methods of instruction. The tools will help me provide hands-on and sensory friendly instruction to meet the needs of each student. The math and science manipulatives make more difficult concepts easier to understand because they combine verbal instruction with physical movement. Many of my students struggle with understanding emotions-both their own and other people's. The skill sets I selected will help them build understanding and empathy. My students also have unique sensory needs that require specialized items. These items enable them to practice self-advocacy by stating what they need to help them manage their own feelings.
