I will use the Spanish, authentic literature to conduct read alouds and to place in my classroom library. My bilingual students will be able to see themselves in the literature that surrounds them. Research states that the literature surrounding children while they are in developmental stages, shapes their conception of life and self worth. With that said, I would love for them to see themselves in the literature we read. I would love for them to learn to read while learning about their background, language and traditions; not only that, but also by learning about other cultures and traditions around the world. The bean bags will be used in my library station so that the kids can have a comfortable place to read! Thank you.
