I am requesting leveled reading books for my students to help make their reading experience more beneficial. Small group reading instruction is the most effective way of teaching reading to my students. When they are in their reading group, they have available to them books that are at their reading level. They feel successful and they see themselves as readers! With the addition of the leveled readers for small group reading instruction, flexible seating within my classroom is also a plus when it comes to our reading time. Practice is essential and sitting in a fun and comfortable spot makes it more enjoyable! I hope to create a learning environment where my students get excited about reading.
