We are always looking for ways to engage students in hands on, meaningful activities. These items will allow for students to play and create in meaningful ways adding to their overall learning experiences in our classroom! By using play people in the block center, the students can imaging a home/community life building things in their homes and neighborhoods. This ties in with our social studies curriculum, learning about neighborhoods and community helpers. The STEM activity allows students to trial and error, overcome challenges, and creating with purpose. The sand allows for hands on, tactile stimulation, and In building with the sand toys. We will also use this sand in language arts and math lessons. Any support in squiring these materials is greatly appreciated!
