All students deserve books that serve as mirrors so that they can see themselves, windows into the lives of others and sliding glass doors so they may enter worlds that are unknown to them. I want my classroom library to be a reflection of the students that are in my class. These books are not only diverse, but they contain rich vocabulary, historical events and thought-provoking stories that will allow students to think critically about their world and the world of others. Students will be able to choose these books to read independently. This project will foster a love of reading in all students in my class.

About my class
