The stories I'm purchasing will facilitate engagement in the social-emotional lessons because my students will be able to personally relate to the characters in the stories. The materials will promote participation because they are engaging, colorful, and novel instructional tools. The materials provide various means for students to participate so my nonverbal, limited verbal, and verbal students can all participate. These games and kits will promote self-acceptance for the diverse learners in my classroom and will help them express their thoughts and ideas in a variety of ways. 1.PCE.1.3Describe the importance of accepting self and others (without discrimination or segregation on the ground of race, color, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, or expression, per NRS 651.070). SS.1.12 Describe ways in which students and families are alike and different across cultures.
