We can bridge the digital divide. Our district is using Google Classroom so students can continue learning. However, something was left out of the distance learning equation. Not all my families have a device. The district has linked with partners such as Zearn.org for math and i-Ready for literacy. But with no access to a device, students, who may be below grade level in the first place, will be even further behind as our time out of school continues. Our school provided what portable devices we had (laptops and Chromebooks) to the older students at our K-8 school. My grade was not a priority. This is a chance to change that.
