Students need more opportunities to design and create new products that will provide a solution to a unique problem. These fundamental skills of designing and creating are applied in every field, including business, medicine, and engineering. For this project, students will use computer software to design a product, then print their designs with the 3D printer. With a 3D printer, students will have the opportunity to learn how to design new products and produce a prototype. They will then be able to test their product and re-design it as needed. Through trial-and-error, they will learn how to refine and improve their designs.
