Libraries and classroom libraries are closed to students, but the need to keep reading and writing and learning from stories, character, themes, and language continues. Putting books in students' hands encourages them to keep learning, thinking, and dreaming. My plan is to deliver books to my students so that they have reading materials readily available. For students who have internet access, online lessons support reading comprehension and second-language learning. For students without internet access I design packets that are delivered to their homes. Having a variety of books to use as resources is critical. On-line teaching will continue supporting literacy. Access to books encourages a habit of reading.
