I want to provide my students with the resources to create an art project that they can then display around the school. The project will show queer representation, and will normalize and celebrate queerness! It will also allow students to do an art project at a school where the arts are severely underfunded. In most cases, LGBTQ students of color are not given the spaces or platforms to celebrate their identities. Particularly to celebrate it in a fun and creative way. I want to create a space where students are able to celebrate their identity and have fun while doing so. This project will also benefit other students on-campus, as the posters will be hung up around the school to foster queer representation.
