Therapy and creativity work hand and hand in this unique time OUR children need all of these supplies to cultivate their creativity and feed their souls with positive energy. Not only for the children, families can join and participate in bonding activities that provide unity and therapy for all going through this time.
I need to give our kids the best opportunity to heal and be creative thinkers. I alone cannot provide for a population of 750 students. Throughout the school year and the past 2 years I've been at JMES I have paid more than $3000 out of pocket (TRUTH) because as an art teacher I have not received a budget.
This year I was bless to receive some help from special angels, but not in the midst of this COVID crisis teachers and students cannot access the school space. The closing of schools was so abrupt, I did not have time nor enough material to provide for my kids. I would love be able to do that being the fact schools may be closed for the remainder of this school year. So in the meantime I want to be sure my students thrive in the best way they can. So far I have only been able to purchase sketch pads but that is not enough to to suffice for all of my students. I will be trying to get those pads out next week but I would love to be able to provide more.
