Students will be able to have a book to follow along with our reading and read on their own at their own pace. This allows for students to use text evidence when responding to their reading. Students will have portions that we may read together and then they are expected to read a portion on their own. Having a book that they can go back and reread something they didn't quite understand or use text evidence to prove their thoughts is huge! This book truly allows students to connect with the character and feel this is someone they know. They will learning while finding a way to enjoy reading.

About my class
