This lesson is designed to help small town kids see beyond their neighborhood, into a bigger world. Especially now, with social distancing, students in my community can feel isolated from the rest of the world. Help me to show these kids that the world can be more than they dreamed and to know that they are part of it. The novel I chose to go with the Globes will help them to understand their part in the big picture. The Globe's help with Geography and Political structure. They will be used greatly. But beyond that. The Globe's can help to give the students a sense of wonder and adventure. At this age these kids are learning that they are not the only person in the world. This lesson is to help them digest that constructively.
