I want to provide my students with comfortable floor seating so they have an option to choose what works best for them as an individual. Having the area rugs and lap desks in my classroom will allow my students to work and study in their most comfortable learning spot. Not only will flexible seating encourage learning independence, but it will also allow students to take ownership of their learning style and decisions. I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year and would love the opportunity to be able to able to offer the simple, kid favorite seating style of being able to sit on the floor.
