My students need to acquire an insane amount of vocabulary in a short amount of time. I teach high school Spanish as well as ELD (English Language development) to the students that do not speak English proficiently. Providing them with visuals to go on the wall, flashcards, and workbooks will help them be immersed into the language they are learning, whether it be English or Spanish. Both my Spanish speakers and my English only speakers struggle to learn the new language and meet the standards that are set for them. Providing them with more tools to acquire more vocabulary would be amazing!
