The school I teach at has a large variety of socio-economic backgrounds. Some students have books and other materials at home, while some only have access to those materials when they are at school. By providing students with markers, paper, pencils, glue and other materials they will be able to continue learning, working and creating from afar. They will be encouraged to continue reading, writing and tapping into their creative side. My goal is to continue to foster a love for learning and hard work while we try to navigate what these next few months will look like. When my students left the classroom on Thursday, March 12th we treated it like any other "goodbye." We had no idea we would not being seeing each other again. The students had no time to grab their materials and projects they had been working on. I hope to inspire them to keep working hard and creating things they love.
