We use a lot of technology in the classroom and that is great, but I like to switch it up with "hands-on" activities. This helps keep the students alert. One of the "hands-on" tools that my students create is a chronicle of world history. As we go through time, they create a book of resources relating to different time periods. This is important as it is an item they prepare and then hold in their hands and look at with their eyes. Because of this project, students will have their own supplies to create a history chronicle which they can touch, hold, and see, and can work on at school and home. This project will provide each of my students with their own set of tools: scissors, pen, pencil, paper, and a binder pencil pouch to put all tools in. The dry erase pens will be used in class on our dry erase tables to help plan and brainstorm ideas for the chronicle.
