Ukeleles: accessible, fun, and community-focused. Purchasing a class set of “ukes” will provide our students the opportunity to learn how to play an instrument of their own. It will open doors to allow students to showcase their sight-reading, improvisation, and composition/songwriting skills. We will explore learning, playing, and singing songs of all different genres together while making our goals of becoming better people while becoming better musicians that much more attainable. With ukeleles, not only will the students grow in their levels of focus, individual accountability, and musicianship, but they will also be able to simply enjoy the gift of playing and singing together both in class and in performance.
