Since schools are closed for a good period of time right now, I am in desperate need of tools to create fun and engaging ways for my students to continue learning at home. The first, most important thing I need is Microsoft Publisher, which actually comes as part of the Microsoft product I put in my cart. I would actually like the pro version, because it is a permanent product I can install on my computer. It is $280 online, but I cannot seem to find that exact product, unless this is it, and the price is just discounted. I had Publisher on my old computer, which unfortunately, just crashed. I am very familiar with it and I am able to use it to create games and worksheets for my students. Because I was unable to find the more expensive pro version on any of the shopping sites listed, I was told I needed to add more to my cart, so I chose the Nearpod license. I am currently taking an Apple Pencil and iPad class, and I stumbled onto Nearpod when the instructor asked us to search through some apps and find one we would like to try. I sampled it last week and it looks like something I can learn relatively quickly and put to good use. I really think my students will enjoy the interactive lessons I will be able to create with it.
