My students love inquiry based learning. I chose this picture to share because the smiles on their faces are what all of the faces look like when they are doing an experiment in Science. I teach at a title one school which means the majority of my students are getting free lunch and breakfast. There is not a lot of money to buy anything extra for school so I provide basic school supplies and all items if we are going to do a hands on project. I want to do more of these types of lessons in science and integrate them into my reading lessons. In this picture we were doing an experiment on how liquids can change into a gas. As you can see they were so engaged and what they learned was so much more effective than any lecture or notes could produce. They learned to work as a team, collaborate/listen to one another's ideas, to see what we had only read about in our lessons. My students is why I joined donors choose. Thanks!
