Adding these books to my social-emotional learning library will allow me to pull from a variety of books on topics that my students can relate to when dealing with a problem or situation. These books will be utilized during individual, small group and whole classroom counseling lessons. It is important for students to see that their situation isn't only unique to themselves, but that many people go through the same struggles. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. These are topics that they can relate to and learn through the character's experiences. These materials will make a difference in my students' learning about social, emotional, and behavioral issues. If you help donate to this project, my students' will be exposed to stories that can help them with social situations, which in turn will help them to improve in this area. Once their emotional needs are met, they can begin to learn academics in the classroom!
