Our multi disability community seldom get the opportunity to experience the miracles of science because of threats to nature and injury from materials. Last summer I raised Monarchs from egg to migration. These manufactured models offer hands on examples of the fragile real life specimens. These photograph books show enlarged pictures without microscopes and magnify glasses. The plastic habitats allow for viewing the stages of life without the threat of harm from broken glass. The bookshelves allow for a solid display at an appropriate height for young children and wheelchairs. All of the requested materials combined will offer an interactive science experience to many. Watching my students experience the butterfly life cycle first hand is amazing.
