New York City schools are going back in session in a hybrid learning experience, which means that some students will be attending schools in-person while others will stay home. My job is to be able to approach both students at the same time by teaching the same lesson and expecting the same learning results. Technology will be my super-power; using platforms like EdPuzzle, NearPod, Pear deck, etc will give me the possibility to approach both learning environments by creating more interactive lessons. To effectively teach students that learn differently I need to be able to use their strengths and help improve their weaknesses. A great way for me to help them is by using technology in the classroom. Using technology to include videos, help with reading, voice recording, drawing, and discussion is not just helpful to my students but also engaging and promotes an active learning. Using an iPad while delivering the lesson and keeping social distancing, would help me attend the remote learners and operate the diverse platforms at the same time as my in-person students. Covid-19 has taken a huge toll in our communities, however, we need to keep working hard for our students and help them achieve their goals, and receive the best learning experience and with your help, I can accomplish my goals as an educator during this already hard year.
