These Chromebooks will allow students to engage in learning in a modern way. We have sets of Chromebooks at our school which are shared among a minimum of 4 teachers. This greatly limits each classroom from using the Chromebooks to their full potential. Our students deserve equal access to Chromebooks to enhance their learning in the 21st century. Google Classroom is a prevalent resource that several teachers use worldwide. Students around the globe benefit from this instruction every day. I use Google Classroom as much as I can with our limited resources. Alongside Google Classroom, my students would be using a variety of educational sites, such as Khan Academy, to help engage their many different learning styles. As a seventh grade teacher, I see how several of my students struggle with their writing. Implementing the use of Chromebooks into our writing instruction will benefit their growth and ultimate understanding. The ability to give instant feedback on their writing in Google Docs is a strategy that I believe will improve their confidence in their own abilities. I want my students to take charge of their learning and feel a sense of control when it comes to navigating the unknown. Through this project, that confidence can become a reality.
