The materials I am requesting will give my students an opportunity to work with drums and rhythm to support their motor and cognitive development, coordination, memory, discipline, and communication skills. We will use the drum kit during Social Skills class as we work together on communication skills, self regulation, coordination, and patterns. We will also use the drum kit during Reading and Math to answer question in a unique way. My students need sensory related activities and I believe this would be perfect for them. Our students really miss Music Therapy in the classroom. I believe drumming will be beneficial for our class.
