Students on this 5-day canoeing course will do a little bit of everything. 11 Parkway Center City students will learn to cook and care for themselves in the outdoors, to navigate down the Delaware River without the aid of technology, to push themselves physically, to communicate with and lead their peers, to be citizens of this world, and to be introspective and empathetic. Our students will abandon their modern comforts for a week, jettison things like their phones, running water, their beds, and so many other creature comforts, to navigate the waterways and find peace and safety ashore. Students will emerge from this excursion with a new appreciation for their lives and a new perspective on the world around them.
