I am working on creating a fun, colorful environment for my students that is inviting and makes them excited to come to school. My students work really hard to earn extra incentives like getting to sit in the teacher's chair or sitting on the reading carpet during our SQUIRT time. I want to include flexible seating in a reading nook that will encourage my students to want to read. This will also act as another incentive for my students. I have several students with different learning disabilities. Flexible seating will help them stay more focused on their academics and give them outlets for their extra energy!
