Currently my 8th grade students are using outdated calculators. The TI 73's have been used for years at our school. They are starting to break and buttons are wearing off. We skim by on testing days with barely enough per student. I would love to introduce my kids to updated technology! The budget at our school does not allow us enough money to purchase new calculators. 10 calculators would allow me to pair students or do station work so kids can work with the updated technology. In high school and beyond, these kids will need to know how to work with modern technology. Access to new calculators will allow this. There is so much more available with new calculators.
