Our students lack exposure to careers beyond our rural landscape. Having items like these drones enables us to expose them to science, technology, and related careers they might otherwise not know exist. Without these materials we simply could not use this program and expose our students to broader horizons. This project will enable us to start a STEM program that will serve students for years to come. It will allow them to apply the knowledge they learn from core subject areas and apply it to technology. Ultimately, our students will use this technology in an exciting way to compete against other teams and learn practical uses. Student will use drones to learn about aerodynamics, flight, rules of flight, and how this technology is being utilized in the workforce. Outside the classroom the students will learn how to fly, compete projects (such as land/agriculture studies, geospatial studies, etc..), and compete at state/national level competitions.
