The use of computers is daily in my preschool classroom. My students use computers in order to explore educational programs as well as learning to find and explore information on the internet. During center time, students are able to go to the computers and explore educational programs that stimulate their minds as well as help to develop critical hand-eye coordination as well as fine motor skills. In preschool, we begin teaching students the proper use of the mouse, navigating through programs as well as introducing them to finding information and answers to all things that capture their interest! The touchscreen monitor allows for my students, all of whom have IEPs, to be able to independently explore and learn technology.
