I will be using these books to create video read alouds for my students. I will read each book at their pace so that they can follow along with me. On their screen they will hear me, and see both the images to make sense of the language and the text so that they can practice reading. Authentic interesting text read aloud is an excellent way to develop foundational language skills. I will create work on my google classroom for my students to do with the vocabulary and ideas from these books as well. All titles are high interest with photographs so as not to be insulting to teenagers as they work through 1st grade level reading skills.
