With these new books, students will be able to read authentic texts in their native language to help them make real world text to home connections. Many of the books in our small Spanish classroom library are direct translations of books that are originally written in English. Authentic Spanish texts are originally written in Spanish, by authentic Spanish authors. This will also allow us to research authors that we are unfamiliar with and learn more about other cultures. The students in my Dual Language classroom would be excited to have a new selection of books to choose from!
