Some of these tools will really enhance our level of confidence in doing sincere science projects and evaluating our learning even more than paper handouts and scripted readings. Students appreciate opportunities for paired and/or cooperative learning environments through the sharing of tools and kits all the while helping each other grow socially and understanding the foundation of literal science where objects are analyzed and observed. For example, by using small portable microscopes alongside the authentic ones, will be a way of teaching and learning the different qualities of the tools. Density measurements are also so much better with organized and prepared kits that can then be supplemented with at-home products such as blocks of different types of wood.
