These tools are evidence-based options for allowing students to participate well in the general education class, even though they may have trouble with sensory integration, ADHD, or Autism Spectrum Disorder. These tools, such as small weighted lap pads and fidget options we can easily attach to school desks/chairs, are non-invasive, and will not draw attention to the student. These are ways to allow students to access the movement they require throughout the day, in a way that does not remove them from the classroom, get them in trouble, or make it difficult for them to engage in peer friendships due to the "quirks" they may exhibit in the classroom setting. These tools keep kids focused, engaged, and present in the classroom, making inclusion not only possible, but a joy!
