We are requesting a variety of sensory materials, alternative seating to facilitate learning, engaging games and adaptive equipment, and a safe space such as the Lounge and Learn Hideaway! These materials will enhance my preschool classroom, giving the students more sensory experiences using visual, auditory, and proprioceptive input. Additional furniture will encourage the student's social skills, giving them opportunities to interact through dramatic play and turn taking. Adaptive games and toys are highly interesting and provide ample opportunities to focus on language skills including core vocabulary, spatial concepts and turn taking in conversation. A large part of the donation will be utilized to create outdoor center stations to encourage learning outside of the classroom. In this outdoor space, we will create stations for students to practice gross motor skills, fine motor skills and socializing with peers.
