I've come to realize that my students have a lot of social and emotional issues that they come to school with. I am here to facilitate their learning, however, there are some days when they just need a space to feel comfortable and safe. That is what I'm looking to bring to my students. I would like to add 2 bean bag chairs to my classroom so they will have a spot to go to when they need to have a short break to regroup or get their thoughts back together. Sometimes the everyday stress of their regular lives can just be too much. I'd like to provide a place for them to go where they can read a book or take a few minutes to regroup when they need to.
